The National Emergency Services Museum which opened in 1984, has become the largest joint 999 museum. Take a look inside over 50 vehicles and go inside a real-life Victorian cell . Smell how horrific it was for criminals in that time period!

As the beer capital of the world you can relax and try one of 400 unique beers that the 23 breweries make, all local to Sheffield. The Beer House on Ecclesall Road is Sheffield’s first micropub opened in 2015 and offers a range of beers to try .

Visit Centertainment where you can play crazy golf,r see a film or even play Laser Quest.  Centertainment is easy to get to by tram , as it’s only a ten minute journey from the city centre.

Sheffield has three major festivals each show Sheffield’s culture. Tramlines is the biggest festival in Sheffield with over 100,000 people watching bands/singers perform on 5 stages.

Trams can be used for transportation in and around Sheffield , and you can get the Supertram to the University of Sheffield campus from Meadowhall, city centre, and the railway station.

Buses run frequently and there are many to choose from. The buses have student or young people discounts on tickets throughout the  bus operators.

Countless taxis run daily and can be caught at the taxi ranks like the railway station and City Hall.

If you’d prefer to travel whilst getting exercise you could hire a bike or just use your own as cycle parking is accessible with over 1,400 spaces around The University of Sheffield and many more at Sheffield Hallam University.

The rail network in Sheffield allows you to travel further distances like to Manchester, which is one hour away or London just over two hours away. The station has many different sectors such as Cross Country Trains taking you to Glasgow, Leeds, Aberdeen etc and First TransPennine Express going to places like Manchester Airport .
